The plot to blow up the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company

Alright, it's been a while since I've posted. 'What ever happened to the kid who's on the internet all the time?', you might ask? Well, that's what this is about for the most part. I usually update this every two-three days at most but due to problems with my internet connection, I haven't been able to get anything done at all. Been fiddling around with the modem and the router and I've discovered two things; the first being the router works just fine and the second being the fact that THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNET JUICE FLOWING INTO THE MODEM. Yes, folks. For some strange reason, either the modem's dead or we got cut off for not paying for the bills we WEREN'T sent. I went to PLDT yesterday, paid the bills and waited half a day and what did I get? Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

I tried checking if I'd hear so much as a dial tone if I plugged the phone into the wall socket. I didn't get that either. Like James Dean said in Rebel Without A Cause, life... can be beautiful. Just because it CAN be beautiful, doesn't mean it isn't; especially when you can't get in touch with one of the reasons why life could be beautiful in the first place. I'll go to PLDT again tomorrow and ask about this. If that fails, then there's always the radical option to go and blow PLDT up and start a new account at Bayantel who apparently NEVER gave me this kind of crap back then.

Now that that's out of the way, back to regular blogging...

The past few days have been really really really really slow and unproductive. I've been waiting for class for the longest time; a new set of things to do, things to learn and people to talk to. I've been looking forward to it since summer classes ended and as if it wasn't strikingly obvious yet, I'm incredibly excited or at least I was. My pants were pressed and my uniform was hanging in my closet, waiting for me to pull it out for a wonderful first day at school. At the last minute, word chimes in that the date for the start of class was pushed to the 15th. YES, MORE TIME TO FAN THE FLAMES OF DISCONTENT! Well, it's not too bad. At least I get to do more errands at home and I have a window of time to smother PLDT with my gratuitous amounts of vitriol. I just want to get things over with so I could get to work on Sir Hadji's thesis and so I could wait for that special someone to get online without fear of being disconnected.

Til then, I'll just stare outside my window listening to tweepop and RnB. Oh yeah, I have to write a new note for the car since you've already seen this one.

P.S.

I took that pic while I was paying bills at Bayantel. TAKE THAT, PLDT!
